"I have nothing to wear"...

I often hear this frase: "I don't have anything to wear"! I regularly hear it from those closest to me, mostly women I must admit. I myself have been guilty of such statement. I do have to say that since my career change in 2014 from healthcare to Fashion, I have learn how to better organize my wardrobe. I have learned how to make better use of the existing pieces I already own. Creating new outfits is not as scary as it was years ago; so I have since then, diminished the use of that frase. If you are still struggling with this subject like I was, just keep on reading.

I love how fashion enthusiast and writer Anuschka Rees describes it in her book: "The Curated Closet." She has totally mapped out this concept and given us two pages worth of tips on how really addressing the "I have nothing to wear syndrome." Her guide consists of things that explains "why you don't have anything to wear."

I must admit that revamping and reorganizing your wardrobe can be a time consuming task. I recommend planning your time, and if possible hiring an organizer/stylist if the load is too big for you. I truly believe that an organized closet space gives you more time to be productive for the day. If you already have planned outfits, thats already a task less to think about it in the morning and it saves you time, time that you can use for prayer and meditation for the day.

In the past few months I was feeling overwhelmed and tired, I started feeling very heavy and things seemed like they were getting out of control and I started having small episodes of mental blockage. I decided to come into prayers for answers and to start fueling myself with faith built messages including those that spoke about spiritual warfare. Now this term might be new to you, but it is powerful and it speaks to me. Once I started connecting with my Heavenly father I realized there were things that were causing stress and that needed to be dealt with immediately. That's when I realized I needed a major closet and wardrobe, and house detox. I started decluttering to the power of 10x if you know what I mean by that. See as a stylist you are kind of naturally forced to maintain an organized wardrobe, because thats just what you do, you help others do that so you must lead by example. In a matter of two to three days ( a week in total with the moving around ), I had donated aproximately twelve to fifteen bags of clothes, shoes and some things that had some sentimental value, that just needed to go, like old notebooks.

The moment I came back from the most recent trip of donation I must admit that I felt way lighter, my mind was kind of saying a big: ahhhh. I even had jewelry that had gotten old and had changed color from silver to black metal lol. See there might be some things that may be causing these types of feelings and emotions in your life that are in need of your immediate attention. I encourage you to speak up and search for help. Nothing is better than to be able to feel that freedom in your mind, spirit and soul that we all desperately always search for. Fear is a factor that wants to steal our peace, and wants to paralyze us not to move forward with the things we know that we are called to do. That's why I encourage a spiritual detox (post coming soon).

I truly hope that these lines serve as an encouragement to you to act. My purpose is to help you get up and walk towards the God given dreams of yours. If you identify with me and are going through a similar situation, I will appreciate to hear your side of the story. I pray that you receive the push and encouragement necessary to act and see things come through for you during this season. I also pray that you have an awesome and productive day. I'm closing off with our slogan: You are royalty; everything that your heavenly father and King of Kings owns is at yours for the taking, be aggresive about your future you and be the best that you can be.

Hugs,

Gina
